California is one of the last states to get their final results in the elections so the governor is still unknown.

 

Gavin Newsom is predicted to win. He is currently in the lead by two percent.

 

John Cox is the republican candidate for the state, which automatically made him the lesser liked of the two.

 

California is primarily Democratic so according to The New York Times Newsom cut back on campaigning and helped promote other Democrats.
