Iowa

UPDATE 10:15 PM

Democrats have the lead in the gubernatorial election in Iowa. Candidate Fred Hubbell has 54.5 percent of the votes, and Republican Incumbent Kimberly Reynolds has 43.6 percent of the votes.

Iowa is a farming state, so farmers want the new leader to reduce tariffs.

Hubbell supports farmers and wants to take an approach to taxes that puts farmers first.

He also wants everyone to have quality education. He campaigned against Reynolds’ cuts on higher education funding.

Stay tuned to see if a challenger will be Iowa’s next governor.
