"This is the future of our country and we're the people this affects the most." -Amber Bailey, Young Democrats President

Young Democrats of Georgia Southern

As stated on their MyInvolvement page at Georgia Southern, the Young Democrats have a mission to "advocate on progressive issues" and help train future Democratic leaders.

The organization is headed by Amber Bailey, a double major in Political Science and International Studies. Bailey got involved in campus politics because of her grandfather, sheriff for Screven County.

There are 17 active members in the organization and the Young Democrats have partnered with the Bulloch Democratic Party this election season. The organizations have worked together to encourage voter registration on campus. Since the beginning of September, three to four times a week, the organizations meet at the Russell Union Rotunda to spread awareness.

To find out more information on how to become a member of the Young Democrats, check out there page on Facebook. They post insightful information on where they are meeting, their political views, and how to become involved with the democrats in your community!
